An established industry player is seeking a motivated individual to join their Latin America FP&A Team. This dynamic role focuses on financial analysis, reporting, and planning, providing a unique opportunity to support business partnering with product leaders. You'll manage local budgeting, assist in global M&A activities, and enhance operational excellence through insightful analysis of financial data. Qualificações

  • Previous FP&A and Controlling skills are required.

The Latin America FP&A Team seeks a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment, focusing on financial analysis, reporting (Nominal and IFRS 17), and planning.

About the Role:

You will support financial business partnering with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions product leaders, manage local budgeting and projections, assist global M&A activities in Latin America, and support due diligence processes by understanding accounting implications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support all specific closing (Nominal & IFRS), projection and planning requirements that will ensure a timely and accurate quarterly closing and annual planning process for Latin American carriers and region
  • Participate on quarterly performance reporting and review (Nominal and IFRS), ensuring an efficient regional consolidation process and support financial impact variance analysis for cohesive explanations of results in close cooperation with regional Market Leads
  • Support initiatives to enhance operational excellence through the execution and reporting of quarterly and annual internal controls
  • Support the business by providing proactive, insightful analysis of KPI drivers, expenses, and allocations; liaise as a true business partner
  • Provide transparency and actively challenge the robustness of Finance process and interfaces. The ability to perform the above tasks with a high degree of autonomy, but leveraging and working closely with, all relevant stakeholders to deliver on clearly attributed goals and objectives
  • Participate on investment cases to support the strategic direction and decisions of the Latin America region and the Corporate Solutions Business Unit
  • Support on quarterly Forecast process based on input provided by the business.
  • Global ad-hoc requests support

About the Team:

The Corporate Solutions Latin America Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team supports managing and steering the financial performance of the Latin American region of Corporate Solutions and its regional management team. We are further developing and strengthening financial steering capabilities to build a robust business plan supporting the regions business growth and act as a challenger to the business. Working within the broader Finance Corporate Solution team, you will join a highly motivated and dynamic team in an interesting and complex environment and will get the opportunity to build up reporting, consolidation & analytical capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to get a strong overview of Corporate Solutions product lines, regions, and finance units, liaise with Corporate Solutions Operations, and Product units.

About You:

Educational/Professional

  • University graduate with a primary or higher degree preferably in finance/accounting/economics.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Previous FP&A and Controlling skills required.
  • Work experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is desirable.

Key skills and knowledge

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data, while being able to deliver quality and detailed output in a timely manner.
  • Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into report/presentations design and processes.
  • Flexibility to work in both a collaborative team environment as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and prioritize, without losing sight of the "big picture".
  • Experience with IFRS is desirable.
