FIFA Women's World Cup™ in Brazil seeks a Fleet and Bus Service Manager to oversee tournament fleet and services for all events. You will manage bus operations, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure SLA compliance across host cities, PMAs, referees, media, and workforce.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

  • Act as primary liaison between Transport FA and FIFA27 for bus planning and operations.
  • Interface with transport suppliers to align vehicle specs, KPIs and timelines.
  • Oversee vehicle reception, inspection, and post-tournament decommissioning.
  • Coordinate dispatch, real-time vehicle monitoring, and host city coordination.
  • Manage ancillary contracts, vehicle washing, refueling, tolls and fines.
  • Develop the fleet operations plan and depot concepts across host cities.
  • Ensure staffing levels and training for fleet operations teams is adequate.
  • Provide regular coordination reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Description

FIFA has established a Local FIFA Subsidiary in Brazil to work together with FIFA Zurich to deliver the biggest women’s sporting event in the world, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™ (“FWWC2027”) that for the first time ever, is hosted in South America in Brazil. The Position

The Fleet and Bus Service Manager will oversee the efficient and effective operation of the Tournament fleet and services for any ancillary event. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of bus services and operations, working close to the other Transport workstreams, providing a reliable, on‑time and outstanding service for the established FIFA Client Groups, such as PMAs, Referees, Media and Broadcast, FIFA Workforce and Arrivals and Departures. The Fleet and Bus Services and Operations Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing bus performance, developing, and ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements, Policies and Procedures, Operational Plan and Reports. This role reports to the Senior Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Transport FA and FIFA27 departments for all bus and minibuses related planning and operational matters for FWWC2027 and any ancillary event.
  • Act as the primary operational interface between FIFA Transport and the event bus and minibus suppliers, ensuring full alignment on vehicle specifications, delivery timelines, KPIs, and operational needs.
  • Coordinate the reception, inspection, and acceptance of vehicles (e.g. buses), ensuring all units meet quality and operational readiness criteria before deployment. Manage the return, decommissioning, and handback process of fleet and buses post‑tournament.
  • Act as the primary operational interface with cars, buses and minibuses and drivers’ suppliers ensuring service has been delivered as per contract. Monitor fleet services performance against agreed KPIs, escalating issues and implementing corrective actions when service levels are not met.
  • Manage all ancillary contracts, if any, and operational processes related to the bus and minibus services, including vehicle washing and cleaning, refueling services, toll management, and handling of traffic fines.
  • Develop the fleet and bus services Operational plan and the Depot Concept of Operations (including its design) and ensure implementation across all Host Cities. Coordinate with all Host Cities depot locations, space, utilities, and facility requirements to confirm full compliance.
  • Overall accountability for appropriate staffing levels and quality employees relating to all vehicle operations.
  • Central coordinator for the development of service‑related Policies & Procedures, reports, presentations, and Guidelines.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations before and during the event and supervise staff including supervisors, coordinators, dispatchers, depot planners, administrative assistants, and drivers.
  • Set up bus timetables and required information into the Tournament Management System (TMM). Perform daily management and updates.
  • Ensure all FIFA and Supplier staff are properly trained by developing and maintaining training materials, coordinating delivery of FIFA‑required modules (e.g. TMM, fleet management system), operational workshops and briefings, safety guidelines, and role‑specific instructions. Maintain consistent training standards across all Host Cities.
  • In coordination with the bus and minibus service providers, develop and deliver the full training programme for all drivers and fleet operational team, including designing training content, defining formats (classroom, online, practical sessions), establishing clear timelines and schedules, and planning delivery across all Host Cities.
  • During the tournament, ensure all job requests are correctly entered, validated, and assigned with the appropriate vehicle and driver. Oversee dispatching procedures, monitor vehicles while in operation, and ensure real‑time coordination with Host Cities for seamless service delivery, with particular attention to PMA services.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Transport Senior Manager, FIFA counterparts, and other key stakeholders on coordination progress, issues and decisions.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration with other event areas (Security, FIFA Travel, Guest Operations, Media, Broadcast, TSV, etc.) to ensure coherent and efficient engagement with fleet service matters.
Your Profile

Qualifications: Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Transport/Logistics/Engineering/Project Management/Event Management or a combination of education and experience relating to the position. Master’s Degree is an additional asset.

Experience
  • Strong transport and fleet or bus services experience in international major events in at least two world‑class sport/football events (e.g., FIFA World Cup/Olympic Games). Experience should include solid involvement in multiple aspects of event transport operations and project management.
  • Strong management experience in a similar role within an organising committee leading large teams to deliver a time‑critical project.
  • Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering transport projects of a similar size and scale.
  • Proven experience of managing fleet services and operations projects of a similar size and scale.
  • Experience working with public and private sector partners in a collaborative environment and ability to build strong partnerships.
Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of administration and management principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data validation, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and large database management.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to influence others and manage relationships.
  • Ability to design, implement and operate a transport system in the Brazilian event environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of transportation technical operating processes and activities.
