Jobtailor in Florianópolis, Brazil, is seeking an experienced embedded systems engineer to develop, test, and debug firmware for embedded platforms.

You will integrate sensors, microcontrollers like ESP32, and communication modules, conduct bench testing and hardware validation, and document solutions. Candidates should be proficient in C/C++, understand UART/I2C/SPI/CAN, and collaboratively define requirements with cross‑functional teams; OTA experience desirable.

Qualificações

• Experience developing embedded systems using C/C++.
• Proficient with ESP32 and microcontroller peripherals.
• Familiar with UART/I2C/SPI/CAN protocols.
• IoT experience with Wi-Fi, LTE, MQTT and OTA updates.
• Strong hardware knowledge and ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug firmware for embedded systems

Requirements

• Experience developing embedded systems using C and C++
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, especially ESP32
• Experience configuring peripherals, handling interrupts, telemetry, and inter-device communication
• Familiarity with UART, I²C, SPI, and CAN protocols
• Knowledge or interest in SAE J1939 and NMEA 2000
• Experience with IoT devices, Wi‑Fi, LTE, MQTT, GNSS/GPS, and remote firmware updates (OTA)
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronics
• Experience integrating sensors and reading electronic schematics
• Experience with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG
• Familiarity with Git, version control, technical documentation, and development best practices
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
