NOV in Brazil seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Project Engineer to drive procurement, installation, and commissioning of critical manufacturing gear. You will coordinate with stakeholders in Brazil and Denmark, review supplier designs, and ensure project delivery and proper documentation.

The role requires hands-on installation/commissioning experience, strong English/Portuguese communication, and travel readiness to support global projects.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a high-tech manufacturing or R&D environment.
  • Experience managing suppliers of complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams and deliver on time.
  • Hands-on installation and commissioning of equipment in manufacturing.
  • Experience reviewing designs and solutions from suppliers/partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Portuguese.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate procurement, implementation, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
  • Manage suppliers of critical equipment with stakeholders in Brazil and Denmark.
  • Review equipment designs, specifications, and technical solutions from suppliers.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications for external suppliers.
  • Establish agreements with suppliers and service providers with stakeholders.
  • Support equipment installations with internal teams and external providers.
  • Monitor project budgets and support efficient project delivery.
  • Ensure proper handover of projects and equipment to responsible teams.
  • Analyze equipment performance using data and engineering expertise.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure equipment complies with HSE standards.
  • Lead project teams and ensure activities follow project management standards.
  • Promote process excellence and knowledge sharing with internal production stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement while complying with NOV's QMS and HSE policies.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate the procurement, implementation, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment;
  • Manage suppliers of critical manufacturing equipment in collaboration with stakeholders in Brazil and Denmark;
  • Review and challenge equipment designs, specifications, and technical solutions provided by suppliers and partners;
  • Prepare and review technical specifications for external suppliers based on stakeholder requirements;
  • Establish agreements with suppliers and service providers in alignment with relevant stakeholders;
  • Support and execute equipment installations in collaboration with internal teams and external service providers;
  • Monitor and follow up on project budgets, supporting efficient project execution and delivery;
  • Ensure the proper handover of projects and equipment to the responsible teams;
  • Conduct analyses and evaluate equipment performance using data and engineering expertise;
  • Ensure the proper documentation is accurate and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Ensure equipment complies with the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards;
  • Participate in and lead project teams, ensuring activities are delivered in accordance with established project management standards;
  • Apply a customer-focused mindset when supporting internal production stakeholders, promoting process excellence and knowledge sharing across teams;
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with NOV’s Quality Management System and HSE policies.
Qualifications
What you need to have
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field;
  • Solid experience in a similar role within a high-tech manufacturing or R&D environment;
  • Proven experience managing suppliers of complex manufacturing equipment;
  • Proven experience leading and working within project teams, with a strong track record of on-time project delivery;
  • Hands-on experience with the installation and commissioning of equipment in a manufacturing environment, working alongside service providers;
  • Solid experience reviewing designs and technical solutions provided by suppliers and partners;
  • Strong ability to gather, analyze, summarize, and prioritize information to support sound decision‑making;
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese;
  • Availability for national and international travel.
Nice To Have
  • M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Project Management and/or Six Sigma certification;
  • Experience with data-driven root cause analysis;
  • Experience managing complex engineering projects;
  • Experience with heavy machinery installation equipment, such as cranes and lifting equipment;
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies;
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and manufacturing documentation systems.
