Alibaba Cloud in São Paulo, Brazil seeks an experienced Head of Americas Cluster Operations to oversee daily operation and maintenance of large-scale facilities, ensuring safe, stable, and compliant performance of power, HVAC, and safety systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams, drive energy efficiency, manage vendors, and develop emergency plans while aligning with global standards and local regulations.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years in large-scale facility operation and maintenance with at least 3 years in a management role; multinational experience preferred.
  • Familiar with operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical physical support systems.
  • Proven team leadership and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, problem-solving abilities, and risk management awareness.
  • Fluent in English; PMP/CFM certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency management and green operation practices is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of large-scale facilities within the region, ensuring efficient, stable, and compliant operation of power, HVAC, and safety systems.
  • Develop and implement facility operation strategies, procedures, and emergency plans.
  • Manage the facility operations team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Lead capacity planning, energy efficiency management, and optimization projects to reduce costs.
  • Manage facility-related vendors and service providers, ensuring service quality and SLA compliance.
  • Lead or participate in root cause analyses for facility incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Business Units to align facility operations with business objectives.

Our Team

Facilities Team: Responsible for 24x7 uninterrupted operations and emergency response of critical physical support systems within the large operational environment, including electrical, HVAC, and fire suppression. We ensure physical environment stability and sustainable operations through rigorous capacity management and energy efficiency optimization.

IT Team: Manages the full lifecycle operations of IT equipment like servers and networks within the operational environment. We ensure high SLA compliance for IT services through proactive systemic risk governance, automation, and process optimization, while leading various technology upgrade projects.

Asset Team: Oversees the full lifecycle management and governance of IT assets. We ensure asset compliance, visibility, and efficient utilization through precise data management, risk control, and cost-efficiency strategies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance management of large-scale operational facilities within the responsible region, ensuring the efficient, stable, and compliant operation of their critical physical support systems (e.g., power, HVAC, fire suppression).
  • Develop and implement facility operation strategies, procedures, and emergency plans, ensuring facility operations comply with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Manage the facility operations team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and daily supervision, to enhance team professionalism and cohesion.
  • Lead facility capacity planning, energy efficiency management, and optimization projects, promoting sustainable operation practices and reducing operational costs.
  • Manage facility-related vendors and service providers, ensuring service quality and SLA compliance.
  • Lead or participate in root cause analysis for facility incidents, and the development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Security, Business Units) to ensure facility operations effectively support overall business objectives.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Over 8 years of experience in large-scale facility operation and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a management role; experience in multinational corporations preferred.
  • Familiar with the operational principles, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical physical support systems.
  • Proven team leadership and project management skills, capable of effectively driving complex project implementation.
  • Familiar with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, problem-solving abilities, and risk management awareness.
  • Fluent in English, able to communicate effectively as a working language.
  • (Plus) Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CFM) are a plus.
  • (Plus) Familiarity with energy efficiency management and green operation practices is a plus.
