Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Engenheiro Industrial de Automação Remota to design, develop, and deploy automated control systems for manufacturing clients across Brazil. This remote role requires 6+ years in industrial automation, with expertise in PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA and HMI, plus robotic programming (Fanuc, KUKA).

You will collaborate virtually with on-site teams and vendors to deliver safe, efficient automation solutions nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in industrial automation or control systems.
• Proficient in PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA, and HMI.
• Robotics programming experience with Fanuc or KUKA.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated control systems for manufacturing processes, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with automated systems remotely.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors to select and integrate automation hardware and software.
• Develop and document detailed operational procedures and technical manuals for automated systems.
• Ensure automation solutions comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Provide remote technical support and training to on‑site personnel for automated equipment.
• Research and evaluate emerging automation technologies and propose their implementation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing automated processes and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial automation, control systems engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA, and HMI development.
• Experience with robotic programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA).
• Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex automation issues remotely.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
• Experience with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil and have reliable internet connectivity.
