Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Engineer | Automation & AI Agents based in Brazil.

We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy generative AI solutions, intelligent agents, and automated workflows that support business operations. You will work with large language models, particularly Claude, and automation platforms such as n8n to turn AI capabilities into practical, scalable applications. The role involves connecting AI agents with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems while developing effective prompt engineering and context management strategies. You will also contribute to RAG implementations, solution evaluation, performance monitoring, and cost optimization. Working closely with business teams, you will identify automation opportunities and translate them into reliable solutions ready for production. This is an opportunity to help advance the practical adoption of AI in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and implement generative AI solutions using Claude and other large language models (LLMs).

• Build AI agents capable of executing business workflows and automating operational tasks.

• Develop automated workflows and integrations using n8n.

• Connect AI agents to REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, databases, and corporate systems.

• Design and implement prompt engineering strategies and context management approaches to improve agent performance.

• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions when appropriate.

• Monitor token consumption, solution performance, and operating costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.

• Apply security best practices when handling credentials, sensitive information, and corporate data.

• Create tests, evaluation criteria, and validation processes to assess agent responses and behavior.

• Collaborate with business teams to identify processes and activities that could benefit from AI-driven automation.

• Document solution architectures, integrations, prompts, and workflows to support maintenance and future improvements.

Requirements:

• Practical experience with n8n and workflow automation development.

• Hands-on experience with large language models and generative artificial intelligence.

• Knowledge and experience working with Claude and the Anthropic API.

• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.

• Familiarity with webhooks, JSON, and API authentication methods.

• Strong understanding of prompt engineering concepts and techniques.

• Experience using Git and code versioning practices.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language or development environment, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET, or Node.js.

• Practical, hands-on approach, with the ability to turn experiments and concepts into functional, scalable solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience developing AI agents and implementing agentic AI solutions.

• Knowledge of embeddings and semantic search.

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

• Knowledge of AI security practices and data protection.
