Job summary

OSM Thome is seeking an Electrician (ELEC) to join an offshore PSV operating out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will perform safe operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems onboard to support reliable vessel operations.

This role requires prior offshore experience, STCW certificates and Electro-Technical/Electrician licensing, plus strong knowledge of marine electrical and control systems. You must be fit for offshore work and comfortable with rotation schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Electrician on offshore vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates and Electro-Technical license.
• Strong knowledge of marine electrical and control systems.
• Able to work in rotation and offshore conditions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems onboard.
• Monitor and maintain power generation and distribution systems.
• Ensure safe operation of switchboards, motors, and control panels.
• Support deck and engine departments with electrical work as required.
• Keep accurate records of electrical work, tests, and inspections.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times.
