Job summary

OSM Thome Limited is seeking an Instrument Technician for an offshore fixed platform in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. You will work with instrumentation and control systems to keep operations safe, steady and reliable.

Responsibilities include installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning, with emphasis on safety and clear communication in English. Offshore certificates and fitness to work offshore per local regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Technical education in Instrumentation, Electronics, Automation or similar field.
• Experience as Instrument Technician in offshore oil & gas or marine/industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of process control, PLC/DCS systems and field instruments.
• Valid offshore certificates and fitness to work offshore as per local regulations.
• Ability to work in a team, follow procedures and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair faults on instrumentation, control loops and automation systems.
• Perform routine inspections and testing to ensure all instruments are operating within set parameters.
• Assist in commissioning and upgrade of instrumentation and control equipment.
