The Finance and Risk operations for Statkraft Markets Brazil are based in Rio de Janeiro and Florianópolis. This role is located in Rio de Janeiro.

Your Role as Senior Risk Analyst

Responsible for developing, controlling, and reporting Profit/Loss (P/L), market and credit risk metrics, risk methodologies, and mitigation strategies. Provide support and guidance to front office activities related to market and credit risk. Analyze new products and structures. Ensure operations comply with risk limits and that business results are accurately reported.

Main Activities

1. Develop, operate, and maintain risk models for Trading & Origination
2. Monitor and report risk metrics and risk capital allocation/usage, ensuring adherence to mandates
3. Review trading transactions and support front office in assessing the impact of new operations on risk metrics, including VaR, PaR, and credit risk measures
4. Evaluate and control counterparty credit risk following company policies
5. Control and report financial performance metrics, ensuring data accuracy from energy agreements, inflation, FX, and interest rates
6. Collaborate with colleagues across Brazil and Oslo

Your Profile

Degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, or related quantitative field. Solid experience in risk analysis. Proficiency in English. Knowledge of statistics, econometrics, advanced Excel, and programming skills in Python and R. Familiarity with the Brazilian energy market and financial statement analysis.
