Qualificações

  • Texas Medical Board-MRT license and current BCLS certification needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under Medical Director supervision, performs technical procedures using radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment, exercising independent judgment and initiative. Responsible for specific procedures and may instruct others.

Prioritizes patient care, performing examinations on all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Operates equipment, sets technical factors, assists in calibration and assays.
  • Handles clerical tasks: input/edit exams, complete requisitions.
  • Transfers and positions patients, ensures safety and immobilization.
  • Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals under physician supervision, assists with sterile procedures.
  • Maintains sterile techniques, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Certification:

  • Associate degree in Radiology Technology or equivalent.

Licensure and certification required:

  • Texas Medical Board-MRT license.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • ARRT or NMCT certification.

Experience required:

  • At least one year of clinical Nuclear Medicine imaging experience, including didactic.

Skills and knowledge include:

  • Understanding of anatomy, positioning, and Nuclear Medicine techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, blood testing, and medical terminology.
  • Ability to analyze scans, exercise discretion, and position patients accurately.
  • Basic English literacy, effective communication, and ability to lift over 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Knowledge of infection control policies.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
