Job Description

Hybrid: This position requires on-site presence at São Caetano do Sul/SP 3 times a week.

GM is undergoing a major transformation in operations and its influence on the future of mobility with automation and electric vehicles. Our recruiting team is at the forefront of this effort, fostering a culture of innovation by seeking driven, creative individuals to join us in advancing our mission.

We are seeking a high-performing recruiter who shares GM’s commitment to excellence and our passion for exceptional customer and candidate care, as well as relationship building. Candidates should demonstrate critical thinking, effective organizational skills, and the ability to develop and execute sound recruiting strategies. Key qualities for success include expert judgment, resilience, and grace under pressure, as recruiters will source, interview, and onboard new hires personally.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partner and build collaborative relationships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, strategic objectives, candidate experience levels, and desired characteristics.
  2. Work with HR partners and hiring leaders to develop recruiting strategies, source and screen candidates, and onboard new employees.
  3. Attend HR and business meetings to provide recruiting updates.
  4. Continuously improve recruiting plans, methods, tools, and processes through regular reassessment.
  5. Support hiring plans, including initiatives for candidates with disabilities.
  6. Assist in developing job descriptions to attract suitable candidates.
  7. Understand external factors affecting talent supply, GM’s market position, salary structures, and candidate requirements.
  8. Train hiring leaders in interviewing and onboarding processes.
  9. Communicate candidate and new hire needs throughout the process.
  10. Partner with Talent Insights and Recruitment Marketing to meet performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced English required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Solid experience in end-to-end recruiting processes.
  • Experience in recruiting within the industrial sector is advantageous.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Teams, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • A driver's license is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with executives, professionals, and students.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Availability to work in São Caetano do Sul/SP.
