Job Opportunity: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 5-8 years of manual testing experience to join our software engineering team for a U.S.-based client. Primary duties include testing new feature enhancements, maintaining test cases, and conducting overall regression testing. The ideal candidate should be capable of making decisions independently and working effectively within a small, dynamic team where every contribution counts.

Responsibilities

1. Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders.
2. Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
3. Configure test environments to execute test cases.
4. Define, execute, and analyze test plans and cases.
5. Conduct review meetings to share test status, discuss concerns, and ensure comprehensive coverage.
6. Collaborate with the team to validate acceptance criteria.
7. Track defect resolution progress using the client’s defect tracking system.
8. Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Set priorities flexibly and proficiently.

Required Experience

• Excellent English communication skills.
• At least 5 years of manual QA testing experience, including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration, performance, security, and load testing.
• Experience with API and database validation methodologies.
• Knowledge of the complete software testing lifecycle.
• Basic understanding of test automation concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ownership mindset.

Desired Experience

• University degree or relevant industry experience, preferably in technical or engineering fields.
• Familiarity with the oil & gas industry.
