POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all business and financial matters for all finance colleagues in Brazil. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining accurate books and records, ensuring an effective internal control environment, and promoting business strategies by playing an active role as part of the commercial leadership team. Additionally, the position is primarily responsible for maintaining and adhering to legal requirements in Brazil, including all applicable laws, taxes, and regulations affecting financial reporting or corporate integrity. The role must monitor and report compliance with the Section 404 requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, corporate policies and procedures, and Zoetis’s Code of Conduct
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that financial reports are accurate and compliant with US GAAP, local accounting standards, Zoetis policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations;
Ensure the quality, accuracy, and updating of the operational plan, monthly financial forecasts, and other submissions;
Ensure full compliance with legal requirements and local tax filings per the country's current legislation;
Ensure effective internal monitoring and adherence to pre-established procedures. Coordinate the planning and execution of local internal and external audit work. Lead and locally support tax audits;
Present business results, financial projections, and financial analyses to the country leader and the company’s senior leadership. Participate in business evaluations with financial implications for business strategies;
Act as a financial advisor to local leadership on key business decisions and strategies. Monitor business report performance by proactively identifying issues, opportunities, and challenges. Ensure the efficient use of business resources;
Effectively manage working capital to optimize company resources;
Interact with government agencies, tax authorities, and financial institutions. Clearly articulate Zoetis's position on key issues and fundamental problems;
Support and manage change initiatives, including business development activities, the integration of new companies, and the migration to new financial systems and processes;
Lead the finance organization in Brazil. Develop and retain talent. Identify, recruit, and train finance professionals locally. Conduct performance evaluations, talent reviews, and participate in planning and development while establishing direct report plans per Zoetis standards;
Ensure continuous "Finance for Non-Finance Colleagues" learning and education for the commercial leadership;
Ensure all processes in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Taxes, Corporate, and Plant Controllership delivery comply with Zoetis policies.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline;
• 10 years of post-qualification experience in a leadership role in finance;
• Experience in the Animal Health or Pharmaceutical industry is desirable;
• Experience leading change in a dynamic business environment;
• Experience in people management.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Fluency in English and Spanish desired
• Analytical profile with strong strategic thinking and attention to detail;
• Solid understanding of accounting, taxes, treasury, internal controls, and financial systems;
• Ability to communicate effectively with all management levels, both verbally and in writing;
• Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment;
• Multitasking ability, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities;
• Work effectively in a matrix team environment and build collaborative relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Hybrid Work: 3 Days at the office and 2 Days remote.
Availability for national and international travel. 20% of the time
