Each brand benefits from the global scale and shared best practices that come from ownership by Restaurant Brands International Inc. At Restaurant Brands International (RBI), we are a growth company with ambitious goals. We know that achieving our vision depends on having the right talent on our side. Based out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Regional Director, South LAC is a senior commercial and operational leader responsible for driving the growth, performance, and long-term development of Burger King across multiple markets in Latin America. Serving as a key strategic partner to master franchisees, this role owns the development and execution of market-level business strategies designed to accelerate restaurant growth, strengthen franchisee performance, and build sustainable brand presence across the territory. The Regional Director operates with significant autonomy and serves as a critical link between RBI leadership and master franchisee partners. The role requires a strong understanding of franchise economics, restaurant operations, development, and market strategy, with accountability for identifying opportunities, addressing performance gaps, and mobilizing cross-functional resources to deliver business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Own Regional Business Strategy & Performance

Own the overall business strategy and performance agenda for Burger King across assigned markets, translating global and regional priorities into actionable market-level plans. Establish growth and performance objectives in partnership with master franchisees and hold partners accountable for delivering against agreed business plans and commitments. Monitor key business indicators, including sales performance, restaurant profitability, development pipeline, operational performance, and other market health metrics. Lead regular business reviews with master franchisees and senior stakeholders to assess performance, identify risks, and establish corrective actions. Identify opportunities to accelerate growth, improve franchisee economics, and strengthen the long-term competitive position of the brand. Provide senior leadership with clear perspectives on market performance, opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.

Lead Master Franchisee Relationships

Serve as a senior relationship owner for master franchisees across the assigned territory, building strong partnerships while maintaining clear accountability for brand and business commitments. Influence franchisee leadership teams to align investment priorities, operating plans, and organizational capabilities with RBI's strategic objectives. Challenge and support master franchisees in addressing business performance gaps and executing against agreed growth plans. Navigate complex franchisee issues and commercial discussions, balancing the long-term health of the franchise system with RBI's strategic and financial objectives. Develop a deep understanding of each franchisee's organization, financial health, capabilities, priorities, and succession considerations to proactively identify opportunities and risks. Partner with internal leadership to address significant franchisee performance, contractual, organizational, or relationship matters.

Drive Restaurant & Market Growth

Own the regional growth agenda, partnering with master franchisees to establish and execute ambitious restaurant development plans. Evaluate market potential, whitespace opportunities, restaurant penetration, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for sustainable expansion. Assess franchisee development capabilities and investment capacity to ensure growth commitments are supported by appropriate resources and infrastructure. Lead strategic planning for new market and country entry, including market prioritization, business case development, franchisee readiness, and cross-functional execution. Identify barriers to development and mobilize internal and external stakeholders to accelerate restaurant openings. Partner with Development, Finance, Real Estate, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and other functions to ensure successful execution of regional growth priorities.

Strengthen Operational & Commercial Performance

Drive improvements in restaurant-level performance by identifying systemic operational and commercial opportunities across the territory. Partner with franchisee leadership to improve guest experience, sales, restaurant profitability, service, and execution of brand standards. Use business and operational data to identify root causes of underperformance and establish clear improvement plans with franchisee leadership. Ensure master franchisees have the organizational capabilities, leadership structures, systems, and resources required to successfully operate and grow the brand. Influence franchisee investment in restaurant operations, technology, people capabilities, training, equipment, and other strategic priorities where needed. Promote consistency in brand standards while appropriately accounting for local market dynamics.

Lead Cross-Functional Execution

Act as the regional business leader connecting master franchisees with RBI's functional teams and senior leadership. Align internal stakeholders around the highest-priority opportunities and challenges affecting the territory. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Development, Finance, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Technology, Legal, and other functions. Remove barriers to execution and ensure clear ownership, timelines, and accountability for critical regional initiatives. Represent the needs and opportunities of assigned markets in regional and global business discussions.

Manage Risk & Protect Long-Term Brand Health

Proactively identify business, operational, financial, development, and franchisee-related risks that could impact regional performance or growth. Escalate significant risks appropriately and partner with relevant stakeholders to establish mitigation plans. Monitor franchisee organizational and financial health to identify potential constraints to future growth. Ensure franchisee strategies and investments support the long-term health and positioning of the brand within each market.
