Atomic HR is seeking a Digital Marketing Director to own the approval pipeline across paid media, websites, CRM, and creative for 6 to 10 client accounts. You’ll work with Claude-powered tooling, report to the CEO, and build scalable processes that let the team manage more accounts with existing staff.
By day 90 you’ll be delivering independent client work, directing tool development, and ensuring every output meets quality standards.
Our client is a marketing team that works inside businesses with many locations, such as senior living communities, med spas, dental and healthcare groups, cannabis retailers, and schools. Its clients are in the US and Canada, and they pay a flat fee instead of a percentage of ad spend.
The company runs on Claude and has built its own operating system and client portal. AI agents do most of the production, so a small team can run a lot of client work.
As Digital Marketing Director, you're the final decision-maker on 6 to 10 client accounts, across paid media, websites, CRM, and creative. Agents and teammates bring you options, and you pick one, approve it, or send it back with the exact fix.
You report to the CEO and work as a peer to the founders. You'll start by taking over the approval queue on every active account. By day 90, delivery runs without the CEO in the loop, and you've built the tool or process that lets the team take on 5 more accounts with the same people.
Part of the job is building. You'll release features to the internal platform by directing Claude Code: you write the spec, test it on staging, and merge it. You don't need to be an engineer, but you do need to know exactly what you want and check that you got it.
This isn't an account manager role. If you've mostly passed the calls on spend, creative, or pricing to someone else, or you'd rather delegate to a team of specialists, it probably isn't the right fit.

CEO Interview: The accounts you've run and the decisions that were yours
Co-founder Interview: How you'd work as a peer, and the final decision
Work Test: Possibly a short exercise, and you'll know how it's judged first
