Jobgether is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a fully remote role based in Brazil. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud environments supporting enterprise applications.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver reliable infrastructure aligned with customer needs. The role emphasizes automation, disaster recovery, security, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, international team.

Qualificações

• 4+ years hands-on experience with AWS for production cloud infrastructure.
• Advanced to fluent English communication with international teams.
• Experience administering Linux and/or Windows systems, with troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Bash and Python; PowerShell acceptable).
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge and core networking concepts.
• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs.
• Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, performance optimization, disaster recovery.
• Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation with extra compensation.
• Must reside in Brazil and be able to work as a contractor; visa sponsorship not available.

Accountabilities

• Analyze customer requirements related to software components, system availability, security, performance, and scalability to develop effective infrastructure solutions.
• Design, document, and implement comprehensive cloud hosting architectures, including capacity planning, instance selection, resource allocation, and network configuration.
• Estimate infrastructure costs and recommend cloud solutions that balance performance, reliability, security, and budget considerations.
• Build, configure, test, and maintain cloud resources while using automation and configuration management practices to ensure repeatability, consistency, and traceability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and network issues, resolving infrastructure incidents and escalating application-related problems to the appropriate development teams.
• Monitor system health and performance, conduct performance tuning, plan for future capacity needs, and implement appropriate security controls and monitoring tools.
• Design and execute load and stress tests, document results, investigate infrastructure bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to system reliability and performance.
• Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery procedures, documenting outcomes and identifying opportunities to strengthen business continuity.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation for internal systems, customer deployments, infrastructure configurations, and technical handoffs.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical consultants, software architects, and developers to validate infrastructure deliverables against project requirements.
• Respond to support tickets and incidents within agreed service-level agreement (SLA) commitments, including participation in an on-call rotation of approximately one shift per month.
• Contribute to operational best practices, policies, and procedures while continuously developing technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• At least four years of hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for production environments.
• Advanced to fluent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed international teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Professional experience administering Linux and/or Windows systems, with demonstrated troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities in at least one environment.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation, preferably using Bash and Python; PowerShell experience is also acceptable.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, HTTP protocols, and core networking concepts.
• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
• Knowledge of cloud security, infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and disaster recovery practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and implement reliable, scalable solutions.
• A customer‑oriented mindset, supported by effective communication, collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in an agile, fast‑paced environment while managing competing priorities and responding to operational incidents.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation, approximately one shift per month, with additional compensation for the assigned shift.

• AWS certifications are desirable, or candidates should be willing to pursue relevant certifications.
