Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Brazil to sustain and evolve a PHP core platform while building new Node.js and TypeScript services. You will craft RESTful APIs, build React frontends with Vite, and integrate AI capabilities using LLMs, agents, and RAG, in an agile team.

You will also work at the intersection of software engineering and AI, balancing legacy and new technologies with a focus on scalable, high-quality solutions.

Qualificações

This is a senior software engineering opportunity focused on sustaining and evolving a core technology platform while delivering new products, integrations, and scalable architectures.
You will combine strong backend expertise with modern frontend development, microservices, APIs, and cloud-ready engineering practices.
The role offers significant hands-on involvement, from writing and reviewing code to designing automated tests and technical solutions.
You will also work at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence, building solutions with LLMs, agents, RAG, and generative AI.
A key part of the challenge will be balancing the evolution of an established PHP platform with the development of new Node.js and TypeScript services.
You will collaborate in an agile environment where technical quality, scalability, clean code, and continuous innovation are highly valued.

Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and continuously evolve the core platform built with PHP, ensuring reliability and long-term maintainability.

• Design and develop new projects and microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Build user interfaces using React and the broader modern frontend ecosystem, including Vite.

• Design and implement omnichannel communication integrations through messaging APIs, including WhatsApp, Telegram, and SMS gateways.

• Design, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using scalable architecture patterns and Clean Code principles.

• Contribute directly to software development through hands-on coding, code reviews, refactoring, and automated testing.

• Develop and integrate artificial intelligence capabilities using LLMs, AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and generative AI technologies.

• Integrate applications with AI models through APIs, Function/Tool Calling, and specialized AI services.

• Apply AI throughout the software development lifecycle, including code generation, analysis, refactoring, testing, and optimization.

• Help establish and maintain engineering practices that support scalability, maintainability, quality, and technical consistency.

• Contribute to the delivery of software artifacts and solutions required by the engineering squad.

Requirements

• Completed higher education in Information Technology or a related field, including a technology degree, bachelor's degree, or postgraduate qualification.

• Proven professional experience as a Senior Software Developer and experience working within agile development environments.

• Advanced proficiency in PHP, particularly for maintaining and evolving existing or legacy platforms.

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development and new service architecture.

• Hands-on experience with React and modern frontend build ecosystems, including Vite.

• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and messaging/API integrations.

• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.

• Practical experience with LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, Function/Tool Calling, AI model APIs, and prompt engineering best practices.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, software architecture, clean coding practices, automated testing, and code review.

• Experience integrating applications with artificial intelligence models and services.

• Knowledge of AI application frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or equivalent technologies is desirable.

• Familiarity with embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and context-retrieval strategies is advantageous.

• Experience with Elasticsearch for search optimization, logging, indexing, or vector search is a plus.

• Knowledge of LDAP and integrations with corporate directories is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Python and DAX for specialized integrations, analytics, or AI-related solutions is advantageous.

• Knowledge of LLM evaluation, context management, structured outputs, guardrails, and observability for AI applications is a plus.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
