Overview
The Data Scientist Level 2 is responsible for understsanding business needs and goals and leveraging statistical methods and tools in order to interpret data and extract insights that support decision-making.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate and perform moderate to complex analytical experiments. Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind.
- Work closely with the engineering team in the development of data deliverables for business consumption.
- Adhere to, and enhance, data visualization best practices.
- Collect, analyze, manipulate and aggregate data for analysis from various data sources.
- Develop and utilize basic to moderate algorithms and models to perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
- Report on findings and make recommendations; summarize analyses into clear, concise and effective presentations. Provide training and guidance on how to interpret and apply data.
- Assist with special projects, as assigned.
- Perform data integrity audits.
- Develop, document, and track metrics and/or dashboards.

- Fluent in English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 Years Experience as a Data Scientist / Statistician
- Demonstrated success in performing analyses
- Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
- Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Good collaboration and interpersonal skills, aable to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Good facilitation and project management skill
- Good data gathering, interviewing, and analytical/problem solving skills
- Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Good understanding of relational, NoSQL, big data, and graph databases
- Advanced understanding of statistics and modeling approaches
- Advanced understanding of chart selection and finer details of readability, interpretation, and presentationAbility to use original thinking to translate goals into the implementation new ideas and design solutions
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion with oversight
- Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
- Good ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies
- Good knowledge of systems administration
- Good knowledge of Linux, Microsoft and/or Unix Operating systems
- Up to 5% travel time required
