Job description

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The role involves developing standardized documentation for new routines, participating in building a Data Lake in Azure, and contributing to data knowledge and unification of data vision. The candidate will also define data governance policies, catalog organizational data, and establish control mechanisms, along with maintaining best practices in data architecture and supporting compliance with LGPD.

Main responsibilities

1. Develop standardized documentation to record new routines, ensuring clarity and consistency, while leveraging Cloud Computing benefits for flexible and efficient data infrastructure.
2. Participate in the construction of a Data Lake in Azure environment.
3. Contribute to gaining business context knowledge and unify data vision.
4. Define policies and processes for Data Governance.
5. Catalog organizational data and establish control mechanisms within data governance processes.
6. Develop and maintain best practices and standards related to data architecture.
7. Work on projects to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).

Requirements and skills

1. Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Processing, or related fields.
2. Experience with Agile methodologies.
3. Knowledge of DMBOK.
4. Experience implementing a Data Governance Program.
5. Knowledge of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD).
6. Knowledge in Data Modeling.
7. Understanding of business and technology needs.
8. Differentials: SQL knowledge, experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), and Metadata Management tools.
