In this role, you'll operate within one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we provide deep technical and industry expertise to a diverse range of public and private sector clients globally. Our delivery centers bring locally based skills and technical expertise to foster innovation and facilitate the adoption of new technologies.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at IBM, you will harness the power of data to uncover compelling stories and complex patterns. Your contributions will include data collection, storage, and processing—both batch and real-time.

You will collaborate closely with diverse teams to determine the most appropriate data management systems and identify critical data for insightful analysis. Your role involves resolving challenges related to database integration and managing complex, unstructured data sets.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Implementing and validating predictive models, creating and maintaining statistical models with a focus on big data, utilizing various statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Designing and deploying enterprise search applications such as Elasticsearch and Splunk to meet client needs.
• Working in an Agile, collaborative environment with scientists, engineers, consultants, and database administrators from various disciplines to apply analytical rigor and statistical methods to behavioral prediction challenges.
• Building teams or writing programs to cleanse and integrate data efficiently and reusably, developing predictive or prescriptive models, and evaluating their outcomes.

* AWS Glue & Python are mandatory skills.

* We seek a skilled Cloud Engineer to troubleshoot data pipeline failures, identify issues, restart services, and resume operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS Cloud, along with a strong background in automation, security, and performance optimization.

* Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

* Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

* Monitor system performance, security, and cost in the cloud environment.

* Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

* Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud services.

* Manage cloud security, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.

* Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

* Document best practices, architectures, and processes.
