Overview
The Data Analyst 3 is responsible for understanding business and department needs, creating high-quality data-driven analysis and insights to support strategic decisions, and driving business impact. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, the ability to challenge the status quo, and strong storytelling skills to distill complex findings into practical insights.
What you will be doing
- Lead large, complex analyses by gathering information on business trends and issues from key internal stakeholders, providing best practice guidance.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards that enable the business to answer complex questions and provide actionable insights to track critical KPIs.
- Improve analytics capabilities, operational processes, and collaboration with other teams.
- Deliver actionable business recommendations through analysis and data storytelling via clear and effective presentations.
- Report findings, make recommendations, and summarize analyses into concise presentations.
- Perform data integrity audits and evaluate methods for managing data, proposing improvements as needed.
- Document processes and findings internally.
- Monitor industry statistics and market trends.
- Provide training and guidance on data interpretation and application.
- Identify internal efficiencies and promote team knowledge growth, staying current on best practices and trends.
- Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends, offering consulting services leveraging expertise and best practices.
- May guide other team members.
- Contribute to the team’s knowledge base and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all privacy and data security policies, including Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy.
What will make you successful
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or related technical areas.
- PowerBI Analyst Certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make meaningful recommendations based on data analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or programming languages such as Python, R, or Apache Spark.
- Experience manipulating large datasets, interpreting data trends, connecting data sources, and storytelling with data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of data warehousing technologies and SQL Server; experience building data pipelines and analyzing large datasets is a plus.
