Capital.com seeks a senior leader to head Brazil operations in São Paulo. You will own the country business plan, oversee P&L, and drive regulatory compliance with the Central Bank and CVM while expanding client acquisition in a tightly regulated market.

You will build the local office, manage governance, coordinate with group functions, and represent Capital.com before regulators, partners and clients. Fluent Portuguese and English are required, with a proven finance leadership track record.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree or above; MBA/postgrad a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years in Brazilian financial markets with senior leadership.
  • Proven revenue growth, distribution and client acquisition in regulated finance.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and own the Brazil country business plan with revenue targets.
  • Oversee P&L performance and provide accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead the commercial plan for Brazil and local distribution proposition.
  • Drive growth and direct accountability for sales and client acquisition.
  • Act as statutory officer and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Build relationships with partners, intermediaries and institutions.
  • Establish and run the local office and governance structures.
  • Coordinate with Capital.com group functions for compliant services.
  • Prepare reporting for shareholders, Board and LATAM management.
  • Maintain fit and proper status with regulators and LATAM leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the country business plan, setting priorities and allocating resources to meet revenue, margin and growth targets
  • Oversee P&L performance, propose corrective actions where necessary and ensure accurate financial reporting to senior management
  • Own the commercial plan for Brazil and its delivery against agreed objectives, and develop the entity's local distribution proposition
  • Drive the continued growth of the business beyond its establishment phase, holding direct accountability for sales performance and client acquisition in Brazil against objectives agreed with the Chief Executive Officer, LATAM region
  • Act as a statutory officer for the Central Bank, CVM or any applicable regulator.
  • Build and manage relationships with partners, intermediaries, and institutional counterparties, and establish the local brand credibility on which distribution in Brazil depends
  • Lead the establishment and running of the local office and the administrative foundation of the entity, including corporate housekeeping, statutory filings, premises, payroll, banking relationships, and local service provider arrangements
  • Ensure the entity's policies, procedures, and internal controls are applied in practice, kept current, and tested
  • Represent the entity with clients, partners, regulators, banks, service providers, and industry bodies
  • Coordinate with Capital.com Group functions so that services provided to the entity operate effectively and in compliance with applicable Brazilian requirements
  • Prepare or oversee reporting for the shareholder, the Board where constituted, and LATAM and Group management
  • Maintain the fit and proper standing required for the appointment throughout its term, and notify LATAM management promptly of any matter that may affect it
Requirements
  • An academic degree at bachelor's level or above; MBA or postgraduate qualification considered an advantage
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the Brazilian financial or capital markets sector — securities distribution, brokerage, investment platforms, asset management distribution, or a DTVM or CTVM — of which at least 5 years at senior management or statutory officer level
  • A demonstrable track record in sales, distribution, or business development, with direct accountability for revenue or client growth in a regulated financial services business
  • Experience of building or managing intermediary, investment agent, or partner distribution networks is considered a significant advantage
  • A good understanding of the markets in which the entity will operate, including equities and exchange-traded funds, and of the broader investment services landscape in Brazil
  • Sound working knowledge of the Central Bank and CVM regulatory framework applicable to a DTVM, in particular internal controls, suitability, and customer relationship obligations
  • Experience of, or credible readiness for, appointment as a statutory officer of an institution authorised by the Central Bank of Brazil
  • Must satisfy the Central Bank of Brazil's fit and proper requirements, including unblemished reputation, competence, and technical qualification compatible with the functions to be performed
  • Must not be subject to any impediment or adverse finding recorded by a regulatory authority
  • Any concurrent professional engagement, including external non-executive positions, must be disclosed and assessed for conflicts of interest and for compatibility with the commitment required by the role
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to build credibility and trust with clients, partners, and intermediaries in a relationship-driven market
  • Ability to operate effectively and to build sound processes in a newly established business with a lean local team
  • High level of accountability, initiative, sound judgement, and a collaborative working style
  • Native or fully fluent Portuguese, written and spoken. Business-level English at B2 level or above according to the CEFR
