External Manufacturing Procurement ambition is to deliver Business Continuity with outstanding Value Creation.

Act as Procurement External Manufacturing, Regional Coordinator LATIN AMERICA.

Ensure that global performance meets expectations on fundamentals HSE/Sustainability, Quality, Manufacturing System, Supply, while carrying out strategic initiatives / projects according to plans (life cycle management, COGS improvement initiatives, products launches/switches). Be fully embedded in cross functional team to enabling Excellence in Execution.

Be Responsible

  • For supporting and deploying the global category strategy and execution for LATAM;
  • For LATAM region in Commercial and External Manufacturing Operations involving company CMOs in accordance with business strategies and in line with company Code of Conduct, values and ethics;
  • For driving savings journey through all procurement levers and global programs, procurement development and improvement initiatives jointly with Business life cycle management, COGS improvement initiatives, products launches/tech transfers
  • For enabling an e2e consistent/innovative/fruitful development of External Manufacturing category

Strategy

Key Accountabilities

  • Implement & execute competitive and innovative Procurement strategy based on Global Procurement guidelines assessing risks and opportunities
  • Budget & Strategic Plan fully aligned with Business while delivering added value;
  • Contribute with world class total savings objectives;
  • Contribute to the E2E make of buy strategy;
  • Develop strong relationship with Business Partners (R&D — Finance — Supply Chain – Quality – Regulatory - BUs );
  • Define, implement, and monitor performance KPIs;
  • Drive the development of new market opportunities (new suppliers, technologies, substitution products, etc.) aligned with the Global Procurement and category strategy;
  • Integrate sustainability into projects and business decisions;
  • Ensure Procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Risk Management, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality...);

Contract & Relationship Management

  • Lead negotiations for her/his portfolio of External Manufacturing
  • Ensure compliance with master service agreements and/or specific contracts in place;
  • Ensure that terms and conditions of master service agreements and/or specific contracts, including the Quality Technical agreement (QTA) and sustainability requirements are met by all parties in the contract;
  • Monitor the contract life cycle and proactively manage negotiation phases with involved operational teams (i) in the set-up of a contract or (ii) request of quotation (RFQ) related to the supplier panel;
  • Being the focal point for managing external manufacturing suppliers and receiving/directing topics related to multiple areas - Quality, Regulatory, Tech Transfer, Supply team
  • Ensure that risk management assessment and risk mitigation strategies are in place in close collaboration with the Business;
  • Set-Up and Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program for the key CMOs for her/his panel;
  • Coordinate vendor innovation management.

Business Collaboration & Partnering

  • Build and ensure collaborative Business Partnering across the Business Unit internally and across the Supplier/CMO network;
  • Build and maintain strong interfaces and collaborations with other departments like finance, legal, regulatory, business development, licensing, and alliances & partnerships on top of main stakeholder management Finance, Commercial, Quality and Regulatory teams;

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Engineering or Business or another relevant field. An MBA preferred;
  • Experience in a Procurement role with proven record in term of change management and result delivery and experience in Human / Animal Health with External Manufacturing Category
  • Solid understanding of both Procurement and Operations; a combination of functional experiences in Manufacturing as well as Procurement would be ideal.

Languages

  • Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

  • Solid understanding in Cost management, budgeting and controlling - ability to understand and explain an Industrial P&L to pilot financial performance;

  • Strongly continuous improvement oriented;
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build sustainable business connectivity;
  • Solid listening and communication skills;
  • Capability to manage business at executive level internal stakeholders and suppliers;
  • Prioritization skills.
