SUJJA BANANA LEAF PTE. LTD. in Brazil's Norte region is hiring an experienced Cook specializing in North Indian cuisine to join our kitchen team. You will prepare authentic North Indian dishes while upholding strict quality, hygiene, and safety standards.

You will work closely with the Chef and other kitchen staff, handle a variety of dishes from curries to tandoori items, and help with menu ideas. Shifts include weekends and public holidays as required.

Qualificações

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cook specialising in North Indian cuisine to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic North Indian dishes while maintaining consistent food quality, hygiene, and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic North Indian dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards.


• Prepare dishes such as curries, tandoori items, naan, roti, biryani, kebabs and other North Indian specialities.


• Prepare and portion ingredients, including vegetables, meats, spices, sauces and marinades.


• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, portion size and food quality.


• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is properly prepared.


• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, cooking equipment and workstations.


• Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.


• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation.


• Assist in menu preparation and recommend improvements to dishes where appropriate.


• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Cook specialising in North Indian cuisine.


• Good knowledge of North Indian cooking techniques, ingredients, spices and recipes.


• Ability to prepare dishes consistently according to established recipes and standards.


• Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.


• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.


• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.


• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
