Assist in preparing and serving meals, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas to maintain cleanliness and proper functioning.
Manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
Coordinate with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to develop varied, nutritious, and appealing menus.
Oversee food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory activities.
Ensure compliance with policies, quality standards, cost parameters, and regulatory requirements.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional culinary education or training preferred. At least two years’ experience in institutional food service preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification required where mandated by the state or facility.
