Job Description

Prime Function:

  1. Assist the Production team in food preparation and related duties in the Kitchen.
  2. Perform tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Chef de Partie, adhering to standards.
  3. Carry out miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  4. Follow procedures and maintain clear records at all times.
  5. Exceed guest expectations in quality and service of food products.
  6. Report any matters affecting the interests of ACCOR to Management.
  7. Oversee or facilitate the functioning of the F&B Services Department or other hotel departments as required by circumstances and the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
  • Support the team to provide effective and efficient services.
  • Exceed guest expectations in food quality and service.
  • Collaborate with staff in each section for proper equipment use and task completion.
  • Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinate with Catering and Stewarding Departments to achieve event objectives and maintain standards.
Financial Management
  • Use resources optimally and cost-effectively.
  • Assist with stock take and stock rotation.
  • Monitor operations to minimize wastage and ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Operational Management
  • Adhere to recipes, methods, and instructions from the Executive Chef / Chef de Partie.
  • Maintain hygiene standards and ensure food quality in presentation and preparation.
  • Produce, prepare, and present food items to the highest standards.
  • Maintain grooming, hygiene, and conduct standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments for operational efficiency.
  • Prevent use of contaminated products.
  • Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils clean and standards-compliant.
  • Follow hotel policies and procedures.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as delegated by management.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
  • Maintain safe working conditions following Accor policies.
  • Ensure staff are familiar with fire and evacuation procedures.
  • Report hazards and incidents promptly and investigate appropriately.
  • Implement policies on harassment and bullying prevention.
  • Provide and maintain protective clothing and equipment.
  • Report accidents and incidents accurately and promptly.
  • Train staff for safe work practices.
  • Support injured workers and review safety policies annually.
  • Keep safety records up to date and ensure visitor procedures are followed.
