Job Description
Prime Function:
- Assist the Production team in food preparation and related duties in the Kitchen.
- Perform tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Chef de Partie, adhering to standards.
- Carry out miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Follow procedures and maintain clear records at all times.
- Exceed guest expectations in quality and service of food products.
- Report any matters affecting the interests of ACCOR to Management.
- Oversee or facilitate the functioning of the F&B Services Department or other hotel departments as required by circumstances and the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
People Management
- Support the team to provide effective and efficient services.
- Exceed guest expectations in food quality and service.
- Collaborate with staff in each section for proper equipment use and task completion.
- Maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with Catering and Stewarding Departments to achieve event objectives and maintain standards.
Financial Management
- Use resources optimally and cost-effectively.
- Assist with stock take and stock rotation.
- Monitor operations to minimize wastage and ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Operational Management
- Adhere to recipes, methods, and instructions from the Executive Chef / Chef de Partie.
- Maintain hygiene standards and ensure food quality in presentation and preparation.
- Produce, prepare, and present food items to the highest standards.
- Maintain grooming, hygiene, and conduct standards.
- Coordinate with other departments for operational efficiency.
- Prevent use of contaminated products.
- Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils clean and standards-compliant.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Handle additional responsibilities as delegated by management.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain safe working conditions following Accor policies.
- Ensure staff are familiar with fire and evacuation procedures.
- Report hazards and incidents promptly and investigate appropriately.
- Implement policies on harassment and bullying prevention.
- Provide and maintain protective clothing and equipment.
- Report accidents and incidents accurately and promptly.
- Train staff for safe work practices.
- Support injured workers and review safety policies annually.
- Keep safety records up to date and ensure visitor procedures are followed.
