Kacific Broadband Satellites Ltd. in Brazil seeks a detail-oriented helper to support CNC machinists in setup, tooling, and production activities. You will load materials, prepare fixtures, and check dimensions with calipers and micrometers while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

You will follow engineering drawings and instructions, report tool or quality issues, and learn CNC machining under supervision to develop essential inspection and maintenance skills.

Qualificações

• Basic participation in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Basic ability to read simple engineering drawings is advantageous.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.

Responsabilidades

• Assist CNC machinists with machine setup and tooling alongside production activities.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components from CNC machines.

About the role

Assist CNC machinists with machine setup, tooling, and production activities.
Load and unload raw materials and finished components from CNC machines.
Prepare materials, tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment required for production.
Assist with CNC machine operation under the direction of a qualified machinist.
Perform basic deburring, cleaning, and finishing of machined components.
Check dimensions of components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and production requirements.
Identify and report damaged tools, machine issues, or quality problems to the CNC machinist or supervisor. Maintain machines, tools, and the work area in a clean and organised condition.
Assist with tool changes, coolant checks, and routine machine maintenance.
Record production quantities, inspection results, and other required information.
Follow company procedures, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
Wear appropriate PPE and maintain safe working practices at all times.
Assist with other workshop and production duties as required.

About you

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred

• Basic understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes

• Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings is an advantage

• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Willingness to learn CNC machining, machine setup, tooling, and inspection processes

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

• Use machinery and tools only as instructed and authorised

• Wear required PPE, including safety footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection where required
