The Opportunity
As our Cloud CoE Senior Analyst, your primary goal is to maximize the value delivered by our hybrid technology landscape to our global customers and stakeholders.
In this pivotal role, you will modernize in-place systems, manage and optimize global Hybrid Computing infrastructure services (including VMware and on-premises storage), and collaborate closely with our Enablement Team to prioritize key features and requirements. Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations & Optimization
- Performance & Cost Management: Monitor, maintain, and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure for high availability, performance, and cost‑efficiency.
- VMware & Storage Administration: Manage high‑availability VMware environments (including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN) and physical storage systems (SAN/NAS) in on‑premises data centers.
- Standards & Resilience: Define operational standards, maintain VMware clusters, and implement rigorous disaster recovery, high‑availability, and backup strategies.
- Workload Migration: Partner with Cloud and Infrastructure Project Managers to plan, stage, and execute the migration of legacy workloads to modern hybrid/cloud environments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide technical guidance and support to cross‑functional teams, ensuring the Cloud CoE successfully meets the needs of internal stakeholders.
- Architecture Governance: Participate in Cloud Architecture Review Boards (ARB) to help define key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLA/OLA standards.
- Governance, Security & Continuous Improvement
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices across both cloud and on‑premises environments, ensuring strict compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Documentation & Root Cause Analysis: Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure architecture, configurations, and operational procedures. Contribute to major incident reviews and root cause analysis.
- Innovation: Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, modern tools, and infrastructure best practices to continuously drive improvement.
What You Will Bring (Key Skills & Experience)
Core Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related management field.
- IT Experience: 3+ years of proven experience within IT (covering either Application or Technology infrastructure). Technical Expertise
- Virtualized & Physical Environments: Strong hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining physical servers, virtualized environments, and storage arrays (SAN/NAS).
- Networking Essentials: Solid understanding of on‑premises data center networking components (switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers).
- Automation & Scripting: Demonstrated experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to drive operational efficiency.
- Problem‑Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex issues across cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to influence, guide, and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and multi‑functional global teams.
- Standout Certifications (Highly Valued)
- VMware: VCP (VMware Certified Professional) or VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional) in Data Center Virtualization or Cloud Infrastructure.
