Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect (remote in Brazil) to lead complex cloud transformation projects from strategy through implementation. You will shape architectures for migration, modernization, and DevOps, guiding delivery teams and mentoring others.

Role combines technical leadership with customer engagement and hands-on engineering, staying hands-on throughout the project lifecycle and mentoring others on AWS services and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud environments.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, and ECS.
• Proven experience leading successful AWS migration and modernization projects.
• DevOps expertise including Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, or CircleCI.
• IaC experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and technical problem solving skills.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation abilities for diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor cross-functional teams.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• AWS Professional or Specialty certifications are highly valued.
• Nice to have: data technologies, ML, AI, or open-source tools.
• Applicants must currently be based in Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions with customers and present AWS architecture solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Design and implement cloud architectures for migration, modernization, and DevOps projects.

• Partner with Project Managers to define backlogs, delivery plans, and technical roadmaps.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex issues during delivery.
• Lead AWS migration initiatives from on‑prem to AWS from assessment to implementation.
• Develop proofs of concept to validate approaches.
• Contribute to technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members on AWS services, migration methodologies, and implementation practices.
• Remain hands‑on through design, planning, deployment and optimization.
• Stay informed about AWS services, DevOps technologies, and emerging cloud innovations.

This full-time opportunity is designed for an experienced, client-facing AWS Cloud Architect who can lead complex cloud transformation projects from strategy through implementation. You will shape cloud architectures for migration, modernization, and DevOps initiatives, helping customers build scalable, secure, and efficient environments. The role combines technical leadership, customer engagement, and hands‑on engineering throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead technical discussions, present solutions, develop proofs of concept, and guide delivery teams through complex challenges. Working closely with project managers and technical specialists, you will help define project roadmaps and ensure successful execution. This remote contractor position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative cloud projects while mentoring others and influencing technical best practices.

Accountabilities

• Lead technical discussions with customers and present AWS architecture solutions to internal and external stakeholders.

• Develop innovative proofs of concept to validate technical approaches and demonstrate potential solutions.
• Contribute to technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members on AWS services, cloud migration methodologies, and technical implementation practices.
• Remain hands‑on throughout the project lifecycle, from solution design and planning to deployment and optimization.
• Stay informed about AWS services, DevOps technologies, and emerging cloud innovations to continuously improve solutions.

Requirements:

• Strong hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud environments.
