Job summary

Umicore AG & Co. KG is seeking a Chemical Process Specialist to drive process development and industrialization in the Americana site. You will apply best practices in process engineering, safety standards, and data-driven improvements across electroplating or refining contexts.

Responsibilities include solving complex process issues, transferring technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, high-quality outputs while advancing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Experience in process development or production within the chemical industry—ideally in electroplating or refining sectors.
• Experience with process safety in chemical plants, including risk assessment techniques (e.g., HAZOP, SWIFT).
• Knowledge of quality control techniques.
• Green Belt certification desirable.
• Experience with technology transfer and commissioning of processes/facilities.
• Experience with integrated management systems, preferably SAP.

• Executes process engineering and/or industrialization projects, building knowledge within core competence subdomain and owning complex tasks.

• Collaborates cross-functionally to deliver high-quality outcomes and knowledge sharing.

Your Key Accountabilities

Who we are looking for
