- We are seeking an experienced Regional CFO to lead the financial management for the operations across Brazil. In this role, you will oversee financial strategy, reporting, budgeting, and compliance while ensuring that financial goals align with broader company objectives. As part of a global organization, you will help optimize financial performance, manage regional risk, and contribute to continued success in the Brazilian market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership for Brazil operations, ensuring all financial functions are aligned with global objectives. Lead the finance team in delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Direct the budgeting and forecasting processes for Brazil, ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement in cost management and profitability.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Brazilian local accounting standards (CPC) as well as international standards (IFRS/GAAP). Oversee tax filings, audits, and compliance with local regulations, ensuring transparency and integrity in financial processes.
- Strategic Planning & Decision Support: Collaborate with regional leadership team to develop financial strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency in Brazil. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making across business units.
- Cost Management & Profitability: Identify and implement strategies for improving profitability by optimizing cost structures across operations. Work with the operations and commercial teams to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Tax Strategy & Compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with Brazilian tax regulations, minimizing the tax burden while ensuring the efficient use of resources. Manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the regional finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, performance excellence, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members and develop future finance leaders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present financial results and strategy to senior management, the executive team, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree in finance is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Portuguese and English (both written and spoken) is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Desired Experience:
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in finance leadership roles, including at least 5 years in an executive finance position within multinational organizations.
- Industry Experience: Extensive experience in a multinational organization, ideally in sectors such as manufacturing, consumer goods, technology, or energy. Experience in managing complex financial operations in Brazil is highly preferred.
- Regional Expertise: Proven experience in managing financial operations in Brazil.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing finance teams. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience in cross-functional team management.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen and the ability to link financial performance to broader company goals.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced analytical skills, with a track record of translating complex financial data into actionable insights. Ability to think creatively and problem-solve in dynamic environments.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with financial systems (SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
