Buyer

This position is hybrid and based in our Sao Bernardo do Campo unit.

Position Summary

The Buyer will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of procurement tasks, including requesting quotations, negotiating pricing within the Delegation of Authority thresholds, ensuring order accuracy, and managing related documentation. The role also involves data analytics, quote comparisons, and summaries.

The Buyer aims to secure the best procurement solutions in terms of quality, price, and timing, aligned with the Procurement Strategy led by Category Buyers & Managers. They also handle disputes that may arise during the process.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Transforming Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs).
2. Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of POs, including ship-to location, supplier info, and notes.
3. Ensuring supplier acknowledgment of POs and delivery commitments.
4. Managing PO cancellations, rescheduling, or changes in quantity, price, or requirements.
5. Following up and expediting POs.
6. Handling user requests through Ticket Service.
7. Managing negotiations within the Delegation of Authority thresholds, in coordination with Regional Procurement Category Managers and Buyers.
8. RFQ management within the DOA thresholds.
9. Involving segment teams (CBs/CMs) and PPM as needed.
10. Supporting NORAM PPV Goals.
11. Reporting on procurement project statuses and team KPIs.
12. Participating in or leading supplier reviews and performance improvement initiatives.
13. Ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System standards.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. Fluent in English.
3. Proficient in Excel or database management.
4. Experience in procurement or purchasing.
