Amazon Servicos de Varejo do Brasil Ltda. is seeking a Business Manager within Workforce Staffing to lead Tier 1 associate hiring initiatives at country and business line levels.

You will partner with senior stakeholders from Operations, PxT, Planning and Finance, and staffing agencies to deliver candidate centric solutions to meet capacity demand in the most cost-effective way. This role may lead, coach and develop a team of Business Partners to deliver the objectives.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor's degree and strong analytical abilities with data.
  • Experience in communication and presentation in Portuguese & English.
  • Experience in volume staffing, capacity planning, operations, or related functions.

Responsabilidades

  • Partner with stakeholders to optimize labor plans and hiring outlook to meet cost and capacity goals.
  • Oversee Labor Order verification and alignment, ensuring process compliance regionally and at sites.
  • Provide insights on labor supply vs demand and suggest mitigations for Day One Starts (D1S) Fill Rate.
  • Lead cross-business line WFS strategic initiatives to improve hiring outcomes and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to short, medium and long-term labor planning and event readiness.
  • Align with WFS Central Teams to optimize processes and ways of working.
  • Ensure accountability for defined outputs and leverage data for decision making.
  • Represent WFS in cross-functional programs at country/Regional level.

As the connector between WFS Central Teams and the business, the Business Manager will be accountable for the success of Tier 1 associate hiring at country and business line level, owning tactical and strategic initiatives to deliver our goals. You will partner with senior stakeholders from Operations, PxT, Planning and Finance, and WFS Central Teams and staffing agencies to deliver candidate centric solutions to meet capacity demand in the most cost-effective way.

This role may lead, coach and develop a team of Business Partners to deliver the objectives.

Key job responsibilities
  • Partnering with, advising and influencing stakeholders using functional expertise, to optimize labor plans and hiring outlook to achieve cost and capacity goals.
  • Have oversight of Labor Order verification and alignment/adjustment, including Labor Order changes, working with both Business and Central Teams POCs, to ensure process compliance at regional and site level
  • Using strategic hiring risk management insights, updating stakeholders on current labor supply versus demand. Highlighting short, medium and long term risk to Day One Starts (D1S) Fill Rate, and providing mitigation and recommendations.
  • Leading cross-business line WFS strategic initiatives, with awareness of both the business’ and WFS Central Teams’ strategic considerations, focusing on improved hiring outcomes, and optimizing for cost.
  • Contributing to short, medium and long term planning, including labor planning and event readiness.
  • Consulting and aligning with WFS Central Teams to optimize ways of working, designing robust mechanisms and effective processes.
  • Holding WFS Central Teams to account for defined outputs, measuring effectiveness of content and delivery as their primary customer.
  • Leveraging WFS Central Teams for the provision of data, insights and risk mitigation to inform business decisions.
  • Owning Prime and Peak readiness strategies, documents and business-facing Lessons Learned at the appropriate level.
  • Representing WFS in cross functional strategic programs at country and/or Regional level.

A day in the life

Daily activities will include working with internal teams to align on hiring risk and levers that need to be pulled to mitigate risk. Communicating this to the business and working to influence the labor planning process to assist with hiring success. Inspecting the health of the hiring pipeline and taking on projects to help improve the E2E hiring process.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
  • Experience in communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in Portuguese & English
  • Experience in volume staffing, capacity planning, operations, or an associated function
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions
  • Experience in ownership of projects and communicating timelines and executing independently
  • Experience escalating issues and anticipating and making hard trade-offs between business and customer need
  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
  • Experience managing conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise, influencing others and problem solving with engineering teams
  • Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data
  • Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments
  • Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a high volume, high production operations environment
  • Experience creating reports, interpreting metrics and driving overall insights or analysis
