The Position

As a Business Development Director, you will:

  • Seek out and negotiate partnerships and collaborations.
  • Evaluate market trends and perform due diligence.
  • Negotiate deals that meet commercial goals.
  • Ensure internal alignment and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to approve and implement projects.
  • Work with legal and finance departments to finalize partnership agreements.
  • Engage with potential partners to develop collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Extensive experience in business development within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and executing partnerships, licensing agreements, and/or acquisitions.
  • In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical market landscape, including key competitors, market trends, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in conducting due diligence for potential collaborations or acquisitions.
  • Strong network and relationships in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with legal, finance, marketing, and other relevant departments.
  • Familiarity with market access, pricing, and reimbursement considerations in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a business development team and drive results.
