ABC Fitness in Brazil is seeking a payroll and personnel administration specialist to support Brazil payroll within LATAM operations. You will ensure accurate, timely processing and collaborate with vendors and finance.

You’ll handle inputs, checks, and inquiries, drive process improvements, and leverage Workday or Papaya integrations. Fluency in Portuguese and English required; experience in Brazil payroll compliance is essential.

Qualificações

• Experience supporting Brazil payroll and personnel administration in a corporate/shared services environment.
• Working knowledge of Brazil payroll compliance, statutory requirements, payroll controls, and timelines.
• Experience with vendor-led or multi-stakeholder payroll processing, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and judgment when handling sensitive data.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English for clear communication with local and global teams.
• Ability to collaborate with local Brazil HR, Finance, and external vendors.

• Perform pre- and post-payroll checks for registers, payslips, taxes, and benefits.
• Coordinate statutory obligations, filings, and open items with payroll vendors and finance.
• Maintain payroll records, audit evidence, checklists, and issue trackers.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies with local teams.
• Identify process gaps and support automation opportunities and integrations.
• Support Workday/Papaya integrations and strengthen operational controls.

What You’ll Do

• Own and support Brazil payroll and personnel administration within LATAM payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing.
• Collect, validate, and submit payroll inputs by calendar cut-offs and controls, including employee changes, hires, terminations, salary changes, leave/vacation, timekeeping, overtime, variable pay, benefits, and deductions.
• Perform pre- and post-payroll checks for registers, payment files, payslips, taxes, social security, FGTS, vacation payments, 13th salary, and termination calculations, as applicable.
• Coordinate with payroll vendors and finance on statutory obligations, filings, open items, corrections, exceptions, and timeline completion.
• Maintain employee documentation, audit evidence, checklists, reconciliations, issue trackers, and payroll/personnel administration records.
• Respond to employee payroll and personnel administration inquiries and partner with local Brazil HR, People/HR, Finance, vendors, managers, and employees to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify process gaps and support improvements, automation opportunities, Workday/Papaya integrations, and stronger operational controls.

What You’ll Need

• Experience supporting Brazil payroll and personnel administration in a corporate, shared services, or payroll operations environment.
• Working knowledge of Brazil payroll compliance, statutory requirements, payroll controls, and payroll-cycle expectations.
• Experience with vendor-led or multi-stakeholder payroll processing, reconciliations, audit support, documentation, and issue tracking.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and judgment when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.
• Service-oriented problem solving and ability to work independently in a globally distributed team while staying collaborative and accountable.
• Professional fluency in Portuguese and English, with clear communication across employees, vendors, local Brazil HR, and global stakeholders.

AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE

• Additional payroll experience across other LATAM countries.
• Experience with Workday, Papaya Global, or other payroll systems.
• Exposure to payroll calculations, rates, gross-ups, and prorations.
• Experience with statutory reporting, payroll audits, regional process improvements, or HRIS/payroll integrations.
• Comfort using reporting, workflow, automation, or AI-assisted tools to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, documentation, and follow-through.

• Brazil payroll inputs, validations, corrections, records, and vendor follow-ups are completed accurately and on time.
• Pre- and post-payroll checks improve data accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and support compliant, timely payroll approval.
• Employees, local Brazil HR, Finance, vendors, and global payroll stakeholders receive timely, clear payroll and personnel administration support.
• Payroll records, reconciliations, audit evidence, checklists, and issue documentation are reliable, complete, and easy to follow.
• Brazil payroll/personnel administration support is stronger while LATAM payroll processes and controls continue to improve.
