Hatch seeks an experienced Estimator to join our Project Delivery Group in Brazil. You will develop detailed capital cost estimates across FEL stages, incorporating direct and indirect costs, schedules, and escalation, while ensuring consistency with Hatch procedures and industry best practices.

The role requires at least 10 years in first-principles estimating on large multidiscipline projects, strong MS Office skills, and hands-on site experience with estimating tools and databases.

• Create detailed project Capital Cost Estimates through FEL 1–4.
• Understand estimating scope, deliverables, level of engineering, schedule, formats, reports.
• Calculate direct and indirect field costs from first principles or factorization.
• Calculate cash expenditure and escalation over project duration.
• Prepare estimating plans, basis of estimate and report sections.
• Present final capital estimate to clients.
• Deliver accurate estimates in line with procedures and industry best practices.
• Monitor direct/indirect costs and escalation over the project duration.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed project Capital Cost Estimates through the range of Hatch estimate classifications (FEL 1, 2, 3 and 4).

Understanding estimating scope of work, deliverables, level of engineering, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports etc.

Calculation of direct and indirect field costs from first principles or factorization as applicable.

Calculation of cash expenditure, predicted escalation over project duration.

Prepare written documentation, estimating plans, basis of estimate and report sections to support the estimating efforts.

Presentation of final capital estimate to clients.

Responsible for estimating scope of work, deliverables, schedule of execution, estimate structure, formats, reports etc.

Delivery of an accurate and comprehensive estimate in accordance with company/practice estimating procedures, standards and best industry practices.

Calculatedirect and indirect costs, cash expenditures and monitorescalation over the project duration.

Qualifications and Experience:

10 + years of experience in a first principle estimating environment, ideally on large multidiscipline industrial projects in an EPCM environment.

Strong MS Office skills and experience with estimating tools and systems.

Site experience including hands on knowledge of direct construction field labor and productivity rates.

• Knowledge/experience with estimating software and databases.

Knowledge of EPC/LSTK estimating techniques.
