Azure DevOps Technical Specialist

Job Summary

The Technical Specialist in DevOps Solutions, specializing in Azure DevOps, is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of DevOps processes and solutions using Azure DevOps. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline software development and deployment processes, aiming to improve efficiency, quality, and speed in delivering software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement DevOps strategies utilizing Azure DevOps tools and services.
2. Automate software development, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
3. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and efficient delivery of software products.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and release processes.
5. Implement security measures within the DevOps pipeline to ensure data protection and compliance.
6. Provide technical guidance and support to team members on DevOps best practices.
7. Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps practices to enhance overall system performance and reliability.

Skill Requirements

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps tools and services.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their implementation using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Azure DevOps tools like Azure Pipelines, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and apply agile principles to DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Hands-on experience provisioning and configuring IaaS and PaaS services such as virtual machines, app services, databases, storage accounts, virtual networks, function apps, data factories, key vaults, service bus, Event Grid, Databricks, etc.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code automation tools and languages (Terraform, ARM, PowerShell, etc.) is highly desired.
• Experience with setting up logging and monitoring solutions using Log Analytics workspace, Application Insights, and Azure Monitor.
• Understanding of concepts like High Availability, Clustering, Failover, and Disaster Recovery in the Cloud.
• Understanding of application layer protocols such as HTTP/S, TCP/IP, UDP, and WebSockets.
• Demonstrated abilities with SSO-related software such as ADFS, Ping Identity, OpenSSO, OAuth, Okta, or other SAML & OpenID Connect providers.
• Understanding of web application security concepts, such as ticketing, header injection, XSS, SSL, HTTPS, Kerberos, certificates, Active Directory, LDAP, reverse proxies, and firewalls.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Certifications: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification is preferred.
