Job Description

The Audio and Visual Technician operates, maintains, and repairs all audio, visual, and lighting equipment throughout the hotel. He will be responsible for the completion of other services or duties as requested by the AV Supervisor / Shift Supervisor.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure all work follows safe work practices and procedures.
2. Respond immediately to all work requests concerning health and safety.
3. Respond to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner.
4. Operate, maintain, and repair all audio, visual, lighting, and related equipment.
5. Ensure the optimum performance of all A/V and lighting related equipment by effectively following the preventive maintenance routine.
6. Evaluate and appropriately respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency.
7. Complete all work orders with due diligence:
   1. Maintain a daily logbook highlighting problems, solutions, and activities.
   2. Maintain A/V and lighting shop drawings and files.
   3. Maintain equipment catalogue and tagging directories.
8. Complete tasks as assigned by AV Supervisor / Shift Supervisor.
9. Maintain health and safety documentation and records for the assigned area.
10. Report and document potential safety hazards.
11. Participate as directed in the emergency response team.

Qualifications

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Good basic English skills.
• Experience and knowledge of modern hotel room facilities equipment and setups.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Secondary School + Technical College or equivalent.
