Caterpillar Brazil is seeking an Automation Engineer passionate about AI, intelligent automation, and digital transformation. You will design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions and integrate them across enterprise processes to boost efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, work on Generative AI and IT operations, and contribute to continuous improvement in a large industrial environment. This onsite role requires strong technical and analytical skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Pre-Advanced English proficiency required.
• Experience with Python, scripting, APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI automation.
• Familiarity with SDLC, testing, deployment, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Job Summary We are looking for an Automation Engineer passionate about Artificial Intelligence, intelligent automation, and digital transformation. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered solutions, including intelligent agents, automated workflows, and enterprise integrations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, optimize business processes, and support the adoption of emerging technologies across the organization. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, enterprise automation, and IT operations while working on real-world business challenges and innovative digital solutions.

What you will do:

AI Agents & Intelligent Automation Support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI agents and intelligent automation solutions. Configure prompts, workflows, and integrations aligned with business needs. Assist with testing, performance monitoring, optimization, and release activities. Create technical documentation, reusable components, and operational best practices.

Digital Solutions & Integration Design and support automation workflows that improve business and IT processes. Work with APIs, system integrations, and workflow orchestration tools. Troubleshoot automation issues and identify opportunities for optimization.

IT Operations & Service Improvement Support IT operations, infrastructure initiatives, and service improvement efforts. Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure reliable and stable services. Contribute to incident resolution, process standardization, and operational excellence.

What you will have:

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies and networking architectures; ability to design and deliver solutions that address complex technical challenges while supporting long-term business objectives. Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to anticipate, diagnose, and resolve complex infrastructure, connectivity, routing, security, and performance-related issues. Technology Advising: Ability to evaluate technology solutions, provide guidance to stakeholders, and promote best practices across cloud networking environments. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze technical and business requirements, identify risks, and develop effective cloud networking strategies.

Basic requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Pre-Advanced English.
• Knowledge of Python, scripting, automation, APIs, JSON, and system integrations.
• Basic understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI-powered automation solutions.
• Familiarity with software development practices, including testing, deployment, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret logs, metrics, and system performance indicators.
