Internal Audit helps Nubank grow responsibly by independently assessing whether key risks are identified and managed, controls are working as intended, and important financial processes are reliable.
In this role, you will join Internal Audit's Finance team and work across a broad range of financial topics, including accounting, treasury, credit risk, market and liquidity risk, capital, and topics related to the financial market. You will navigate Nubank's data environment, connect information across systems and domains, and turn your analysis into clear evidence and insights that support the audit agenda.
As part of the Internal Audit, you will work on audits from planning through fieldwork and reporting. This includes understanding processes and controls with stakeholders, identifying risks, designing and executing audit procedures, and documenting your work and conclusions. Data is an important part of the role: you will use it to perform substantive testing, assess control effectiveness, and identify anomalies or emerging risks. You will also contribute to opportunities to strengthen continuous risk monitoring through technology and data-driven approaches.
The role calls for a solid understanding of accounting and financial markets, including how financial institutions operate and how their activities are reflected in their accounts and risk management. You will work closely with auditees and teammates, bringing clear and constructive communication.
This role is based in São Paulo, Brazil, with in-office presence at HQ1 on Mondays and Thursdays. The team currently supports audits in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and the United States, so English communication will be important.
