Infoblox is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join its Cybersecurity Product Engineering team in Brazil. You will develop backend services and APIs powering threat intelligence and security capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile setting.

You’ll write secure, scalable code, build tests, and contribute to data pipelines. This role emphasizes AI-assisted tooling, code quality, and responsible development practices within a global leader in cloud-first

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Internship, academic, or professional experience developing backend software or cloud applications.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Relational or NoSQL databases knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, microservices, and development practices.
• Experience with Git, PRs, feature branches, and code reviews.
• Experience writing or maintaining automated unit/integration tests.
• Familiarity with cloud services, containers, CI/CD, or distributed systems.
• Awareness of secure software development principles and AI-assisted development curiosity.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test, and maintain backend microservices and RESTful APIs under senior guidance.
• Support features across Cyber Threat Intelligence, Dark Web Monitoring, and External Attack Surface Management.
• Implement data-processing components for threat intelligence at scale.
• Write clean, readable, testable code using engineering standards.
• Create and maintain unit/integration tests (pytest, Jest, JUnit, etc.).
• Investigate, debug, and resolve defects; contribute to performance improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives.
• Apply secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, input validation, secrets management, data protection.

Associate Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Product Engineering team in Brazil, reporting to the Engineering Manager. In this role, you will support the development, maintenance, and expansion of Infoblox’s core platform and cybersecurity product suite. You will build backend services and APIs that help power Cyber Threat Intelligence, Dark Web Monitoring, and External Attack Surface Management capabilities.

Collaborating closely with software engineers, product managers, quality engineers, and security professionals, you will contribute to reliable, secure, and scalable solutions in an agile environment. You will also use approved AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, test coverage, troubleshooting, and technical documentation while applying sound engineering judgment and maintaining responsibility for the quality and security of your work.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

• Develop, test, and maintain backend microservices and RESTful APIs under senior technical guidance
• Support features across Cyber Threat Intelligence, Dark Web Monitoring, and External Attack Surface Management product lines
• Implement data-processing components that ingest, normalize, enrich, and deliver threat intelligence at scale
• Write clean, readable, testable, and maintainable code using established engineering standards
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests using frameworks such as PyTest, Jest, JUnit, or equivalent
• Investigate, debug, and resolve software defects and contribute to performance improvements
• Participate in peer code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Apply secure coding practices to authentication, authorization, input validation, secrets management, and data protection
• Use approved AI coding assistants and developer tools for implementation, test generation, code explanation, and documentation while validating all generated output
• Monitor service behavior and contribute to operational readiness through logging, metrics, alerting, and runbook improvements

Be Prepared — What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Internship, academic, or professional experience developing backend software or cloud applications
• Foundational proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, microservices, and common software development practices
• Experience with Git, pull requests, feature branches, and collaborative code review workflows
• Experience writing or maintaining automated unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with cloud services, containers, CI/CD pipelines, or distributed systems
• Awareness of secure software development principles and common application security risks
• Curiosity about AI-assisted software development, prompt quality, output validation, data privacy, and responsible use of AI tools

• Consistently apply secure coding, observability, testing, and operational practices
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive engineering work through responsible AI adoption
