World Business Lenders (WBL) provides short-term, general-purpose, real estate collateralized commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses across the United States that lack access to traditional funding.
WBL is a U.S.-based company with a fully remote workforce.
This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Typical working hours are 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, with potential for additional hours based on operational needs.
The role requires excellent oral and written English language skills.

Location:

Essential Functions:
- Manage and monitor a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, aiming for effective and efficient resolution.
- Supervise, train, and develop staff within the Asset Resolution Department.
- Conduct proactive portfolio management following established performance standards.
- Oversee legal activities related to litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with in-house and external attorneys, collection agencies, and vendors supporting loss mitigation.
- Engage with customers and their legal counsel.
- Negotiate settlement agreements and bidding instructions.
- Monitor loss mitigation performance and analyze loss severity trends.
- Implement and communicate loss mitigation strategies.
- Maintain and analyze delinquency and loss mitigation reports.
- Analyze debtors' financial status, credit history, personal background, and payment history.
- Facilitate negotiations and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of the portfolio to reassess recovery estimates.
- Monitor expenses related to taxes, maintenance, utilities, and fees, proposing protective advances as needed.
- Participate in the department's budget planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Law degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school.
- Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate loss mitigation.
- Proven success managing non-performing loan pools and REO assets.
- Experience supervising and mentoring case management staff.
- Litigation experience and familiarity with litigation management tools.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. legal and regulatory guidelines, including bankruptcy and foreclosure laws.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Own a personal laptop or desktop (company does not supply equipment).
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
