WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce.
This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours are generally 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, with possible variations based on operational needs.
The role requires excellent oral and written command of English. Resumes must be submitted in English.
Location: 100% Remote for Turkey, LATAM, and India
Essential Functions:
- Manage and monitor a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, towards effective resolution
- Supervise, train, and develop Asset Resolution Department staff
- Conduct proactive portfolio management according to established standards
- Monitor and manage legal activities such as litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure
- Coordinate with attorneys, collection agencies, and vendors supporting loss mitigation
- Interact with customers and their counsel
- Negotiate settlement agreements and bidding instructions
- Monitor loss mitigation performance and trends
- Implement loss mitigation decisions and communicate them
- Maintain delinquency and loss mitigation reports, including trend analysis
- Analyze debtors' financial and payment history
- Facilitate negotiations and conflict resolution
- Conduct quarterly reviews of the portfolio to reassess recovery estimates
- Monitor expenses and propose protective advances
- Participate in departmental budget planning
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Law degree from a U.S.-accredited law school
- Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, or real estate loss mitigation
- Proven ability to manage non-performing loans and REO
- Experience supervising case management staff
- Litigation experience and familiarity with litigation management tools
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of U.S. legal and regulatory guidelines, including bankruptcy and foreclosure
- Analytical skills and innovative problem-solving approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong work ethic in a dynamic environment
- Own a laptop or desktop (company does not provide equipment)
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
