Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As AI Engineer, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap, delivering production systems on top of LLMs rather than training models.

You will work with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented roadmap into shipped, working automation workflows. Candidates should have built things with LLMs and can demonstrate hands-on experience.

Qualificações

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.

Responsabilidades

• Build production automation workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including function calling and tool use.
• Develop internal tools that reduce manual hours across design and development workflows.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As AI Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.
