Job summary

Toradex is seeking an engineer to build and operate AI-assisted workflows that keep technical product documentation accurate and current. You will own the flow from engineering information and customer support resolutions to reviewed documentation updates, structuring information and automating changes with reliable sources.

The role blends Python development, applied AI, and embedded-systems understanding, with guidance from our engineering and DevEx teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying language models to generate, extract, or summarize information.

Responsibilities

• Own selected product-information workflows, improving automation and reliability.
• Map sources, resolve discrepancies with engineering, and preserve traceability to products and revisions.
• Build workflows that turn source changes and resolved support cases into documentation updates.
• Collaborate with documentation specialists to define reusable templates and quality criteria for AI generation and review.
• Implement checks for completeness, consistency, and revision applicability; flag gaps.
• Integrate source systems and publishing tools via APIs and scripts with clear evidence for reviewers.
• Use feedback to improve workflows and define automation requirements.

About the role

Toradex is looking for an engineer to build and operate AI-assisted workflows that keep technical product documentation accurate and current.

You will own the flow from engineering information and customer support resolutions to reviewed documentation updates.
Working directly with these updates, you will establish reliable sources, structure information, and automate how changes are drafted and verified.

The role combines Python development, applied AI, and embedded-systems understanding, with guidance from our engineering and DevEx teams.

What you will do

• Own selected product-information workflows, including revision histories, errata, technical resources, and documentation updates, improving their automation and reliability as you operate them
• Map authoritative sources and information owners, resolve discrepancies with engineering, and preserve traceability to applicable products, hardware revisions, and software versions.
• Build workflows that turn source changes, sufficiently detailed tickets, and resolved support cases into proposed documentation updates.
• Work with documentation specialists to define reusable templates and explicit quality criteria that guide both AI generation and review.
• Implement checks for completeness, consistency, factual support, and revision applicability, flagging missing information for clarification.
• Integrate source systems and publishing tools through APIs and scripts, providing reviewers with clear changes and supporting evidence before publication.
• Use recurring exceptions and reviewer feedback to improve workflows and define requirements for broader automation initiatives.

Must Have

• Available to work Hybrid from Toradex Office in Campinas-SP.
• Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Practical Python experience, including APIs, text processing, and structured data.
• Hands-on experience applying language models to generate, extract, or summarize information, with attention to output quality.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, testing, and debugging.
• A foundation in computing, electronics, or embedded systems, enabling you to interpret technical material and ask engineering experts precise questions.
• Clear written English and an organized approach to information sources, dependencies, and revision tracking.
• The ability to investigate a process, deliver a working solution, and improve it through regular use.

Helpful additional experience

• Document processing, retrieval-augmented generation, or AI evaluation.
• Technical documentation, documentation-as-code, or CI/CD.
• Product revision management, engineering changes, or embedded Linux.

What success looks like

Within six months, selected documentation workflows run reliably under your ownership, with traceable sources, correct revision applicability, and human approval.
AI-assisted drafting and repeatable quality checks reduce manual editing and dependence on the DevEx coordinator.
