Cadence Design Systems in Belo Horizonte, Brazil seeks an Accounting Supervisor: Regional Financial Controller to lead regional accounting processes within a shared services environment. You will report to Country Financial Controller and work with global teams on US GAAP, tax, payroll coordination, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least three years of experience, fluent Portuguese and proficient English, strong analytical skills, and

• Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsabilidades

• Financial accounting.
• Monthly, quarterly and year-end close and financial reporting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cash management and cash flow forecasting.
• Fixed asset accounting for the entities.
• US GAAP lease accounting for the entities.
• Statutory compliance and reporting.
• Coordination with third-party advisors on inquiries from tax authorities and tax audits.
• Coordination of monthly payroll with third-party payroll provider.
• Partner with global teams to support local operations in Brasil.
• Ensure financial processes adhere to corporate policies.
• Ad hoc projects as applicable.

As an Accounting Supervisor: Regional Financial Controller you will work with Country Financial Controller as a member of the Corporate Accounting Team, working in a shared services environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial accounting
• Monthly, Quarterly and Year end close and financial reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Cash management and cash flow forecasting
• Fixed asset accounting for the entities
• US GAAP lease accounting for the entities
• Statutory compliance and reporting
• Coordination with third-party advisors on inquiries from tax authorities and tax audits
• Coordination of monthly payroll with third-party payroll provider
• Partner with global teams, including those overseeing accounts payable, treasury purchasing, and facilities to support local operations in Brasil
• Ensure financial processes are in accordance with and adhere to corporate policies
• Ad hoc projects as applicable

Requirements

• Complete Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant accounting experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese and demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes, including accounting solutions and related applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice to have

• Professional certification preferred
• SAP experience
• Experience with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong sense of responsibility for completion of deliverables to meet own objectives
• Ability to work within a matrix business structure with internal customers in multicultural environment with multiple locations and time zones
