Startup CPG is looking for an enthusiastic team member to take on several aspects of Accounting & Finance, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. This person will also have the opportunity to lead projects creating resources for our community of CPG brands like supplier databases.

You'll join a fun, passionate, mission-driven team that's always creating - whether it's new events, fresh ideas, or ways to better support the growing brands in our space!

This is a remote role, based in Brazil

Key Responsibilities

Accounting / Finance

• Own overall financial tracking - from building a forecast based on partner contracts to tracking invoices as they are received
• Follow up with partners to check on payment status
• Validate partnership commissions
• Maintain accurate company expenses and P&L statement using Quickbooks
• Various tasks in support of human resources

Special Projects

• Support ad-hoc projects that create invaluable resources for our community, including crowdsourced databases and desk research
• These projects will be aligned to the skills and interest of the particular person hired for the role

Qualifications

• Persistent and meticulously detail oriented
• Expertise in Quickbooks or similar platform
• 2+ years of finance experience and/or AR, AP, Project Management
• English Fluency (both spoken and written)
• Bonus - experience in CPG industry (consumer packaged goods)
• Proven track record of collaborating across teams
• Ability to build strong relationships with partners
• Experience conducting research and gathering insights from industry publications, social media, and other relevant sources
• Passionate about helping people - early stage founders, and a strong interest in the better-for-you food, beverage, and wellness products that they are creating
• Bonus - comfort with AI tools
• Remote contractor role, based in Brazil
• Salary range is 40-60BRL/hr
• Time requirement may vary but estimated around 20 hrs/wk
