Job summary

VAM SYSTEMS is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to lead Power BI development for banking analytics in Bahrain. You will design dashboards, model data, and collaborate with treasury stakeholders to translate business needs into analytics use cases.

The role requires 5–8 years in BI/data analytics within financial services, strong SQL, and experience with data warehousing. Knowledge of NLP/AI features and cloud BI platforms is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–8 years of hands-on BI and data analytics experience, ideally in banking/financial services.
• Power BI certifications or equivalent BI platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards for Treasury analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Build semantic data models and OLAP structures to enable scalable self-service analytics.
• Drive data integration from multiple sources (EDW, APIs, flat files) and optimize SQL/ETL for performance.
• Provide training and support to business users and mentor junior team members.
