Jing Hau in Manama, Bahrain is seeking an experienced Executive Chef on a temporary basis. You will oversee all kitchen operations, craft menus, manage inventory and lead a diverse culinary team to deliver high-quality dishes for guests.

The role requires a proven track record in high-volume settings, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of food cost and safety. A visa will be sponsored, and travel arrangements to Manama are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
• Extensive knowledge of international cuisines, cooking techniques and flavour profiles.
• Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique dishes that impress guests.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of food cost control measures.
• Food safety certification is preferred.
• Must be available to work on a temporary basis without accommodation in Manama.
• Valid work visa for Bahrain.

Responsibilities

• Develop menus and create innovative dishes that meet the preferences and dietary needs of our guests.
• Manage food inventory ordering and cost control to ensure profitability.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff including cooks sous chefs and other kitchen personnel.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Work closely with management to develop new concepts and ideas for restaurant promotions and events.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source the freshest ingredients for our dishes.
• Conduct regular quality checks on food products to maintain high standards of taste presentation and portion control.
